Piano Action Regulation:

The piano’s action (interior mechanism) contains thousands of moving parts and has been aptly described as a marvel of mechanical engineering. When a piano key is depressed, it activates a complex series of levers and springs which ultimately raise the hammer to hit the string.

Over time, the wooden parts inside the action shift and their felt pads compress; this causes the piano to feel sluggish and unresponsive. This is frustrating for pianists and teaches bad habits to students that are still learning correct technique. A full regulation will adjust your action back to factory specifications and is usually needed every 2-5 years or every 200-300 hours of playing.

Piano Cleaning and Repairs:

Modern pianos have 7,000-10,000 parts precisely positioned to ensure optimum touch and response. When just one of these parts is damaged or broken, the piano can no longer perform as intended. With our extensive training and experience, we can repair/replace any broken parts and restore your instrument to its correct specifications.
